Sun-Telegraph Highlights Our Journey as a Year-Round Haven
A Vision for Connection and Healing (Originally published in the Sidney Sun-Telegraph – September 2025)
In the heart of Kimball, what began as a personal mission for our family has blossomed into something so much bigger. The Sidney Sun-Telegraph recently featured our story, capturing how WeeShire Mains has evolved into a nurturing, sensory-friendly sanctuary for families navigating autism and other needs.

The heart of our mission: Zaedyn and Waffles sharing a quiet moment of connection.
From Therapy Sessions to the Barnyard The journey started after we spent countless hours traveling to therapy appointments. When a physical therapist suggested that many of these sensory activities could happen right at home, the spark for WeeShire was lit.
Growing with Community Support Thanks to the Kimball City Council’s Keno funds, we’ve been able to make vital improvements to our animal enclosures and build our new chicken coop. We are also hard at work on our blueberry expansion field, which we can't wait to open for U-Pick in 2026!
Community Collaboration This article also highlights our "Barnyard and Badges" fundraiser. This event is a perfect example of what happens when community collaboration meets a mission of heart—supporting both our farm enhancements and technology upgrades for the Kimball Police Department.
