Big Results, Small Hoofbeats: Our Feature in Nspire Today
It’s one thing to have a vision for a sensory farm; it’s another thing entirely to see that vision start changing lives. In January 2025, we were honored to be featured in Nspire Today!, where Joe Dutton captured the heart of what we are building here in Kimball.
More Than Just a Farm
WeeShire Mains was born from our own family’s journey. Raising our children—including Zaedyn and Bryan—taught us that traditional environments don't always offer the sensory input or emotional regulation that neurodivergent kids need. We realized that if our kids needed a place to feel grounded and understood, other families did, too.
As Sarah shared in the article:
"WeeShire Mains provides families in rural communities a chance to experience the joys of nature and farm life. Through interacting with animals and exploring the sensory farm, kids enjoy therapeutic, hands-on experiences they might not otherwise have."
Small Animals, Big Impact

Whether it’s brushing the miniature donkeys, feeding the goats, or helping in the blueberry patch, every chore at the farm has a purpose. We’ve seen firsthand how these routines help kids develop:
Social & Motor Skills: Learning to move gently and communicate with animals.
Emotional Regulation: Finding calm in the quiet rhythm of the farm.
Responsibility: Understanding how their actions directly affect the creatures they care for.
Even before our official Grand Opening in May 2025, the community support has been overwhelming. From local events to private family visits, we are so grateful to everyone who has joined us on this journey "one hoofbeat at a time."
